The Surrey Oaks has been part of the Newdigate community for generations, with a history dating back to the 16th century. Originally a wheelwright's cottage, where wooden wheels and carts were made and repaired, the building eventually became a country pub around 1850. Set in the heart of the Surrey countryside, it has stood the test of time, welcoming locals and visitors through its doors for over 175 years. We're incredibly proud to be taking on such a special piece of local history and look forward to adding our own chapter to its story, while keeping the charm, character and community spirit that make The Surrey Oaks so loved.
