Nestled in the beautiful Surrey countryside in Newdigate, The Surrey Oaks is a traditional country pub steeped in history and with a special place in the local community.

With parts of the building dating back to the 16th century, The Surrey Oaks began life as a wheelwright’s cottage before becoming a country pub around 1850. For more than 175 years, it has been part of life in the Newdigate community, bringing people together over good food, drinks and the welcoming spirit of country pub life.

Now proudly run by our family, we’re excited to begin a new chapter while preserving the character and charm that make this pub so special. For us, a great pub is about more than good food and drink; it’s about bringing people together, creating a welcoming atmosphere and making everyone feel at home.
